Telecom giant Ooredoo Maldives introduced new postpaid packages on Monday.

The company stated that free call minutes, SMS, Data and IDD will be included in the new packages according to each customer's preference.

With the new packages, customers would have access to data even after using up their allowances, without additional charges. However, the browsing speed would slow down after the data allowance limit is reached, though customers can boost the speed with a “Power Up” package. This, according to Ooredoo, is the biggest change from their old packages.

In a ceremony held at Ooredoo's main office to launch the new packages, CEO Najib Khan said that Ooredoo is always trying to provide solutions for customer needs and that they are proud to launch postpaid packages with unlimited calls and data at affordable prices. Ooredoo-sponsored players of local football club, New Radient Sports Club, also took part in the ceremony.

The prices of the new packages are between MVR 200 and MVR 1,000. Customers can make IDD calls with a special 50 percent discount as well. In addition, Ooredoo stated that with these packages, customers will be able to experience Ooredoo’s 4G Plus network throughout the Maldives.
