The pavilion being developed by Maldives Water and Sewerage Company (MWSC) at Rasfannu beach in capital Male is ready to be unveiled with four international franchises.

The bid opened by MWSC looking to develop a pavilion at the western artificial beach last August was awarded to Sibco Pvt Ltd, and the contract to manage the pavilion was won by Brothers Catering.

According to an official of Sibco Pvt Ltd, the pavilion with a capacity of housing 900 customers will be opened with the famous Australian franchise “Gloria Jeans Coffee” and three other international franchises. The names of the other three have not been divulged yet.

“In the week ahead, we will be able to announce the names of the brands that will be available at the pavilion. These brands are completely new to the Maldives.”

Apart from fast food restaurants, the pavilion will also boast fine dine restaurants, according to Sibco.

“We are working towards completing and opening the pavilion by the end of this month. It is near completion now.”

The pavilion previously developed by Maaziya Construction was planned to feature five bathrooms with a seating area and food stalls in the first floor. However, the plan was later changed, and the first floor now will also house a restaurant.
