Local fisheries firm Ensis Fisheries has been awarded an ISO certification

The certification was awarded to Ensis Fisheries’ Director Abdul Wahid by the Minister of Economic Affairs Mohamed Saeed during the ongoing Food and Hospitality Asia Maldives (FHAM) fair at Dharubaaruge convention centre in capital Male.

Ensis was awarded the ISO 14001:2015 certification for meeting the requirements for an environmental management system used to enhance the company’s environmental performance.

The company stated that it has been certified as ISO 14001:2015 in order to maintain Ensis Fisheries as a firm that creates its products under long term environmental friendly policies.

Ensis is currently the firm to export the largest amount of tuna products from the Maldives to Europe.
