The project to develop 95 mixed-use residential housing units in the reclaimed suburb of Hulhumale was awarded Sunday to local firm Damas Company Pvt Ltd by Housing Development Corporation (HDC).

The agreement was signed by HDC managing director Mohamed Saiman and Damas’ managing director Abdulla Solih.

According to HDC, the housing units are to be developed in the district of five-star Radisson Blu Hotel, owned by State Trading Organisation (STO), and must be completed within a year and two months following the contract signing.

HDC further stated that the housing units will be sold to private buyers by Damas.

The area of the land allocated for the housing units and its selling procedures have not been yet disclosed.

HDC had also awarded the development of 60 housing units in Hulhumale last week to Batch Construction Pvt Ltd.
