Local mobile commerce firm to develop platform to promote MATATO

Maldives Association of Travel Agents and Tour Operators (MATATO) has awarded development of a web platform to promote the association’s activities to local e-commerce giant Everything Red.

The agreement was signed by MATATO’s Deputy Secretary General Asra Naseem and Everything Red’s CEO Mohamed Rifau.

Under this contract, Everything Red will provide digital media and mobile commerce services for MATATO’S exhibitions, training programs, seminars, conferences and travel awards. Everything Red will also establish a web platform for MATATO through which it will promote and market the association’s prestigious Maldives Travel Awards.

“With this partnership, our web platforms will be improved and re-launched; it will also establish closer relations between MATATO members and travellers,” said MATATO’s Deputy Secretary General Munaz.

Everything Red’s CEO Rifau expressed optimism for opportunities in the travel sector and implementation of digital commerce in the tourism industry via this partnership with MATATO.

Everything Red is the largest mobile commerce service provider in the Maldives. Its flagship service is “FoodHub”, the popular mobile application to order take-out online. Other online products by the company include E-Store for online shopping, for booking doctor’s appointments, and Bill Pay for online payments.
