Maldives seeks contractors to develop STELCO’s new building

State Electric Company (STELCO) has put the project to develop the firm’s new 14 storey building up for bid.

In a notice, the company stated that interested local and foreign contractors are to submit their bid proposals before April 3. Bid documents will be released next Wednesday onwards until March 22.

STELCO added that a bid security of MVR 300,000 or its equivalent in US Dollars must also be submitted.

The company’s Deputy Director Abdulla Nazir told Mihaaru that the new 14 storey building is to be developed in the land plot adjacent to STELCO’s main structure.

The current STELCO headquarters is a six storey building that constructed 17 years ago.
