Maldives Marketing and Public Relations Corporation (MMPRC) announces new collaboration with Dotcom Arabia.
Under this collaboration MMPRC is set to launch an outdoor campaign during August, to boost the brand visibility of Maldives in the German market and increase destination awareness.
MMPRC hopes the campaign will help to boost the arrival figure from the market.
Pictures showcasing the beauty and allure of the Maldives will be placed in both Potsdamer Platz-Quartier and the Berlin Airport.
The Potsdamer Platz-Quartier is a busy hub with potential advertisement reach of 5.5 million people, whereas the Berlin Airport will have the potential reach of 1.2 million travelers.
MMPRC's partner for the initiative, Dotcom Arabia is a leading outdoor advertising agency in the region, having previously representing some of the major brands including BBC, Financial Times, The Guardian and Vogue among others. Dotcom Arabia has also conducted tourism campaigns with noteworthy clients including Saudi Tourism and Etihad Airways along with other high-profile travel industry ventures.
Germany remains as a consistently strong source market to the Maldives, with the island nation welcoming 73,118 tourists from the European destination as of July 20, 2022.
MMPRC has taken part in several high-profile travel trade events earlier this year including the IMEX 2022, IMM Germany and the ITB Digital Business Day.
Marketing the Maldives as a destination abroad came to fruition as the country secured the title of "World’s Leading Destination" for the second consecutive year at the 2021 World Travel Awards, which is globally recognized as the hallmark of industry excellence.
