The Maldives National University (MNU) on Tuesday announced two new appointments.
The national university appointed Dr Raheema Abdul Raheem as the Director of Research and Hawwa Wajudha as the Campus Manager at MNU's branch in Gan, Laamu Atoll.
Their letters of appointment were presented by MNU's Vice Chancellor Dr Mohamed Shareef.
Dr Raheema Abdul Raheem is a veteran in the field of education. She first joined the university as an academic staff at the Faculty of Health Sciences in 2000, where she served until 2010. She later worked as a research associate and the Director of Research at privately-run Villa College, before rejoining MNU as the Dean of Research in 2016.
Hawwa Wajudha, appointed to MNU's Gan Campus, was formerly the Assistant Director at the Ministry of Gender, Family and Social Services, and the Public Relations Officer at the Human Rights Commission of Maldives (HRCM). She also served as the Assistant Producer at state-run Public Service Media (PSM) and the Senior Marketing and Sales Executive at V Media.
