President's Office seeks applicants to serve on MIRA board

The Presidents Office, on Monday, announced that they are accepting applications for the vacant positions on the board for Maldives Inland Revenue Authority (MIRA).

According to the announcement, following one member's resignation, there are currently four vacancies in addition to the impending expiry of three other member terms.

Interested parties may download the application form, made available on the presidency's official website.

Presidents Office stated that applications will be accepted from 0930 hours till 1230 hours on July 12 and 13.

While a total of six members make up MIRA's board, five are appointed by the President, while the remaining member is nominated by the Finance Ministry.

The Commissioner-General of Taxation also serves on the tax authority's board.

At present, MIA board consists of Chairperson Ahmed Saruvash Adam, Deputy Chairperson Leena Mohamed Zahir Hussain, Commissioner General of Taxation Fathuhulla Jameel, Ahmed Faiz Mohamed, Aishath Asha Ali and Makhzoom Saleem.
