Mauritius-based LUX* Resorts & Hotels is set to reopen its LUX* South Ari Atoll resort (formerly LUX* Maldives) in the archipelago on September 1 following a major renovation.
According to travel trade news website TTG Media, the revamped resort will feature 193 pavilions and villas, including 49 villas with private pools for adults on the eastern stretch of the resort, and 38 water villas, 105 beach villas and a two-bedroom Lux villa in the west.
TTG Media states that all the villas have been redesigned for the reopening, which will also unveil new restaurants and bars added to its features. The resort will have seven restaurants and five bars in total.
Lux will also introduce a variety of activities, titled Reasons to Go Lux, at the resort which includes photography workshops and a junk art studio, according to TTG Media.
In addition to LUX* South Ari Atoll, the company also plans to unveil a new property in the Maldives, LUX* North Male Atoll, in 2017 featuring 60 private villas.
