Eighty land plots from reclaimed suburb Hulhumale’s second phase of development will be put up for bid, announced Housing Development Corporation (HDC).
The corporation’s managing director Mohamed Saiman told Mihaaru on Sunday that the bids will be open for interested buyers very soon.
“These plots are for inhabitation. We’re in the middle of final preparations to begin selling those lands,” he said.
Saiman disclosed that the land plots for sale from the second phase measure between 1,200 and 2,400 square feet in area. The plots are situated close to the oceanfront of the second phase’s reclaimed land, he elaborated.
The state had reclaimed 240 hectares of land under Hulhumale’s second phase of development, where HDC is to develop 15,000 housing units and other residential facilities.
