State Electric Company (STELCO) announced on Sunday that its customer service counters will be in operation on Mondays and Thursdays of the week, to provide essential services to its customers until the government lifts the nationwide closure of government offices.
The government on April 8, extended the closure of all government offices, schools and educational institutions for the fourth week, in a bid to contain the spread of COVID-19.
According to STELCO's circular, its head office located in Malé, along with their offices located in the atolls will be open from 0900 hrs to 1400 hrs on the two days of the week. The company added that its Sales Center will also open during the time.
STELCO further called on their customers to refrain from seeking non-essential and non-urgent services during limited service hours, advised its customers to use the company's online platforms and services wherever possible.
Customers who wish to obtain online services can apply for a service by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org. For sales related queries and services, customers are encouraged to contact its Sales Center hotline at 9110888 or via email: email@example.com. Further, customers can opt to pay for STELCO's services through its online payment portal hosted at its website - stelco.com.mv.
