Bank of Maldives (BML), on Thursday, introduced the option for customers to apply online for internet banking services.
Interested individuals are now able to download the application form on BML's website and email or send a picture of the completed form to [email protected].
Customers were previously required to submit a hard copy of the application to one of the bank's branches.
The following applications are provided to BML clients under the bank's menu for internet banking services.
Customers can check the balance on their accounts and cards as well as view and download account statements.
BML's internet banking enables customers to make payments for their personal debit cards or loans as well as for other individuals.
Transfers can be conducted to personal accounts and bank accounts registered under the names of other individuals at BML, other local banks or foreign banks.
The internet banking services can also be utilised to submit applications to open new accounts, debit or credit cards and request BML's Lui Loans. Customers can also update their personal information via internet banking.
The bank offers numerous digital services including internet banking, mobile banking, payment gateway and mobile wallet. Over 90 percent of all BML transactions are conducted through digital channels.
