BML to open new service centres in Maldives' capital

Bank of Maldives (BML), on Tuesday, revealed plans to open new service centres at various locations in the capital city of Male' in January 2020.

The bank aims to transform its banking services in Male’ as per BML’s strategic focus to offer enhanced customer service and provide innovative products which meet the highest international standards.

All personal banking customers can open accounts and apply for loans at the new Account Opening Centre and Loan Centre.

Also scheduled for inauguration is a Digital Branch on Majeedhee Magu, which will provide innovative, state-of-the-art digital banking services to customers.

The new Account Opening Centre and Loan Centre as well as the existing Customer Service Centre and Business Centre will cater to all non-transactional services. BML aims to centralize all transaction services such as deposits and withdrawals in the capital to the main branch.

The current premises of BML's Majeedhee Magu branch will be closed from February 2, 2020.

BML's CEO and Managing Director Tim Sawyer welcomed the changes, stating that “we look forward to delivering improved quality of service with the opening of the new Account Opening Centre and Loan Centre. Together with our plan to introduce our Digital Branch, this transformation will truly enhance the banking experience for customers”.

BML's nationwide network comprises of 37 branches across 20 atolls, 50 Self Service Banking Centres, 115 ATMs, 277 agents and a suite of digital banking services.
