Soneva Fushi, a world-leading resort in Baa Atoll, unveiled two new additions to its portfolio of villas and private hideaways, scheduled to be ready for occupancy by Christmas 2019.
The resort decalred that their six-bedroom Villa 43 Sunset Reserve and four-bedroom Villa 38 will set a new standard of desert island luxury.
Both residences are hidden amongst the island's lush vegetation, just a few steps away from the beach, in line with Soneva's 'no news, no shoes' philosophy and includes alfresco decked areas and terraces, private gardens and open-air bathrooms with sunken baths and outdoor rain showers.
According to the resort, Villa 43 Sunset Reserve, named for its incredible sunset view, is one of the largest and most luxurious residences on the island.
The six-building reserve is interconnected by wooden walkways and elevated terraces around an ancient banyan tree. The residence boasts a main swimming pool with its own water slide and sunken seating area, in addition to a second pool located right outside the master suite.
The master suite features its own living room and Soneva's signature open-air bathroom surrounded by a tranquil water feature including a sunken bath, steam facilities, indoor and outdoor rain showers and his-and-hers sinks.
Featuring an en-suite and additional nanny's room, Villa 43 also contains a separate children's' bedroom in addition to a private gym with the latest fitness technology, a spa suite with a sauna and steam room and a wine cellar with a selection of the world's finest vintages.
Complete with private bedroom suites, living rooms and terraces with daybeds, open plan living and dining areas, TV-suite and a library, the 2,303 square metre residence has a maximum occupancy of 12 adults and four children.
Located on the sunrise side of the island, the two-storey, four-bedroom occupancy is situated next to snow-white sands, encircled by a curved swimming pool featuring a lengthy slide.
With a maximum capacity of eight adults and four children, the 1,525 square metre occupancy is complete with an open-plan, double-height living area, dining room, kitchen and pantry, as well as a spa suite featuring a sauna and steam room.
The master bedroom suite and guest bedroom both include an outdoor garden bathroom, with sunken baths, outdoor rain showers and water features.
Two additional guest bedrooms with en-suite bathrooms, dressing rooms, and private balconies can be found upstairs, in addition to a fully-equipped private gym.
According to the resort, Villa 38's decked area on the first floor with an incredible vantage point over the Indian Ocean, complete with a dining table and plush daybeds, is a tranquil spot to start the day watching the sunrise.
