BML opens for applications for Community Fund

Bank of Maldives (BML), on Tuesday, opened applications for proposals in the fourth round of 'Aharenge Bank' Community Fund, a nationwide campaign to empower individuals to contribute to society by conducting sustainable community projects.

The application deadline is set for November 14 at 1200 hrs.

Under the campaign, BML will select and allocate MVR 50,000 to five projects in the areas of education, environment, sports and community development during each quarter of the fiscal year.

The proposals chosen for execution in the third quarter consist of a children's park in Kulhudhuffushi, Haa Dhaalu Atoll, a recreational park on the beach of Hulhudhuffaaru, Raa Atoll, a sheltered waiting area in front of the school in Kelaa, Haa Alif Atoll, a fish cleaning station in the harbour area of Holhudhoo, Noonu Atoll, and a picnic area at the beach of Kandoodhoo, Thaa Atoll.

"One of the bank's major aims is to return profits to society", stated BML's Public Relations Manager Mohamed Saeed.

He revealed that the Community Fund enabled the bank to contribute to social progress by financing projects across the country. He noted that 'Aharenge Bank' Community Fund has already facilitated the funding of 100 projects in 2019.
