BML presents long service award to 30 employees

Bank of Maldives (BML), on Thursday, held an event at Champa Central Hotel in the capital city of Male' to honour 30 of its long-serving employees.

BML CEO and Managing Director, Tim Sawyer presented awards to staff members who served the bank for periods of 15, 20, 25, 30 and 35 years respectively.

Head of Recoveries Fathimath Rasheeda received a special commendation for having served the bank for 35 years.

Other notable awardees included Senior Officer Amsoodha Naeem, Customer Service Deputy Manager Aminath Naseem, Manager of Cheque Processing Aishath Sadna and Veymandoo Branch Manager Abdulla Shameem. All aforementioned employees have served BML for 30 years.

“It is indeed an honour and privilege to give due recognition to the staff who have committed so many years serving the national bank”, stated the CEO.

“Bank of Maldives is very proud of its ability to retain dedicated employees and delighted to celebrate these team members. Your dedication underpins the continuing growth of our business and our drive to strengthen the bond with customers and the communities we serve. Thank you.”

BML is the largest bank in Maldives and one of the country's largest employers with 99 percent of its staff base being locals. The bank regularly hosts events to honour top-performing staff and recognize loyal service.

Earlier in 2019, BML received ‘Asia’s Best Employer Brand Award’ from the World HRD Congress and the Employer Branding Institute for the third consecutive year.
