Ooredoo, GAM partner to digitize guesthouse industry

Local telecommunications giant Ooredoo Maldives and the Guesthouse Association of Maldives (GAM), on Wednesday, partnered together to expand opportunities within the industry through the digital medium.

At the signing ceremony held at Salt Cafe and Restaurant in capital city Male', the agreement was signed by the Ooredoo's CEO Najib Khan and GAM President Ahmed Karam.

"The new generation of travellers expect access to technologies that make their travel experience seamless", said CEO Najib Khan.

"Together with GAM, we look forward to connecting guesthouse industry to the right digital services and support needed to attract new customers, give visitors a next-generation experience, and effectively contribute to growing your business.”

Under the partnership, Ooredoo will support the digital needs of the guesthouse industry through state of the art technologies and services that are tailored for the Maldivian travel market.

According to GAM's President, the "guesthouse industry believes that being born into the online travel and digital age is one of the key reasons behind its rapid growth".

"We are truly grateful for this partnership with an end- to-end digital service provider".
