Renowned Australian company La Vie Hotels and Resorts is preparing to launch its first resort in the country, 'Tolarno Maldives Kunaavashi Resort', in Vaavu Atoll, for early 2020.
Marketed as a premier dive destination, the island is accessible by a 10-minute seaplane flight from the main Velana International Airport. Alternatively, guests can opt for a 45-minute speedboat ride.
Kunaavashi will open its doors with five dining outlets, offering a variety of cuisines and a gastronomical experience to its clients.
The resort's 72 villas, in addition to its public areas, will boast artwork curated from local talent.
Positioning itself as family-friendly, the resort's Kids Club features both an indoor and outdoor playground.
For wellness-oriented travelers, the resort offers recreational facilities, a Seaview spa, and a fully-equipped dive and watersports centre.
La Vie recently announced employment opportunities for pre-opening staff.
