LUX* South Ari Atoll resort, managed by Mauritius’ LUX* Resorts & Hotels, has reopened following a major revamp of the property.

In a statement, LUX* said that the resort situated in Alif Dhaal atoll, which was closed for renovation early this year, was reopened last week.

The refurbished resort has reopened with 193 pavilions and villas. They include 49 villas on the island’s eastern side, 38 water villas in the west, two luxury villas and 105 beach villas. The suites feature private swimming pools measuring between seven to fourteen metres in length, while some of the villas also have private terraces for couples.

Other facilities at LUX* South Ari Atoll include eight restaurants and five bars. The resort also offers activities such as yoga and meditation classes, and workshops on art, photography and cooking among others headed by foreign experts.

LUX* CEO Paul Jones stated that aside from bringing necessary changes to the property, the main objective of the resort’s revamp was to advance its guests’ vacation experiences to another level.

LUX* Resorts & Hotels is also developing another resort in Kaafu atoll. Its new property is scheduled to be unveiled next year.
