BML crowned 'Asia's Best Employer Brand' for third time

Bank of Maldives (BML), on Thursday, was granted ‘Asia’s Best Employer Brand Award’ from the World HRD Congress and the Employer Branding Institute.

BML was recognized as one of the most attractive places to work in Asia due to its commitment to people excellence and continued implementation of progressive recruitment, development and talent retainment policies.

Learning and Development Manager Mohamed Ashraf and Employee Relations Manager Asiyath Mohamed accepted the award on behalf of BML. More than 300 human resources professionals from across the Asia-Pacific region attended the ceremony held in Singapore.

The bank's People and Change Director Sahar Waheed stated, “This is the third year in succession that we were recognised at Asia’s Best Employer Brand Awards, which is in itself a noteworthy achievement. Our Human Resources strategy focuses on developing competent, motivated, customer-oriented employees to deliver the Bank’s strategy. I would like to thank the team who have worked tirelessly to bring this award to the Bank once again.”

BML is the largest bank and one of the largest employers in Maldives, with 99 percent of its staff consisting of locals.

The bank expressed pride in implementing modern human resources policies to ensure the highest professional standards of employee recruitment, development and reward.

Furthermore, BML hosts regular events in honour of its top-performing staff and acknowledge their loyal service.
