Ooredoo launches SuperNet Services in Fuvahmulah

Telecom giant Ooredoo Maldives launched SuperNet Fiber Broadband services in Fuvahmulah, on Saturday evening, making Fuvahmulah the first Gigabit city in the Maldives.

The services were launched by Minister of Communication, Science and Technology Maleeh Jamal, Chief Executive of Communication Authority of Maldives Ilyas Ahmed, Mayor of Fuvahmulah Falaah Shareef and CEO of Ooredoo Maldives Najib Khan, at a Maahefun hosted by the company for the people of Fuvahmulah.

“Fuvahmulah City continues to evolve into a flourishing digital hub in the south of the Maldives. As such, we’re excited to support their digital transformation journey with the launch of the first SuperNet Fixed Broadband connection in the Maldives which is powered by Ooredoo’s own gigabit capable fiber network”, said Najib Khan.

The broadband service comes with various packages with speeds going up to 100 Mbps. Moreover, Ooredoo provides offers to customers that acquire a fibre broadband connection before June 5, including a bonus speed of 20 mbps on any SuperNet package for six months as well as free Amazon Prime Video membership for six months.

Additionally, the telecom giant is waiving off all connection fees for new customers.
