Telecommunications giant Ooredoo Maldives, on Thursday, announced the appointment of Damian Philip Chappell as an Independent Board Director and Chairman of the company, effective from April 1, 2019.
Chappell, an Australian national currently filling the position of Chief Consumer Officer at Ooredoo Qatar, was nominated as a representative of Wataniya International FZ-LLC.
In addition to holding a Bachelors’ Degree of Applied Science, Information Technology from the Swinburne University of Technology in Australia, Chapell has more than 17 years’ experience in the telecommunications industry.
Ooredoo Maldives warmly welcomed Chappell as the new Director and Chairman of the Board of Directors’ and expressed eagerness to achieve greater milestones under his able guidance.
