Hussain Luwaiz appointed as Managing Director at Allied Insurance

After dedicating 21 years of service to STO's subsidiary, Allied Insurance, Hussain Luwaiz has assumed the role of Managing Director for the company.

Before assuming the role of MD, Luwaiz worked as the Manager of Allied's Claims section and has been with the company since 2002. He holds a chartered insurance certificate from the Chartered Insurance Institute in the UK.

Mohamed Shafaz previously held the position of Managing Director for Allied Insurance.

Established in 1985, Allied Insurance was founded in partnership with STO and the UK's Commercial Union Insurance. In 1987, STO acquired Commercial Union's stake, resulting in Allied becoming a 100 percent Maldivian company. Today, Allied Insurance stands as the largest provider of insurance services in the Maldives.
