Maldives tourism promotion campaign in collaboration with Liverpool Football Club has kicked off Wednesday.

This initiative is part of a co-branded partnership between Liverpool FC and the Maldives Marketing and Public Relations Corporation (MMPRC)/Visit Maldives.

The strategic partnership between Visit Maldives and Liverpool FC extends beyond visibility and aims to boost visitor arrivals, enhance the Maldives' global presence, and drive significant economic benefits.

President Dr Mohamed Muizzu attended the Liverpool FC vs. Everton match, the Merseyside Derby, on Wednesday evening.

On March 13, MMPRC/Visit Maldives announced its designation as the “Official Tourist Destination Partner” of Liverpool FC.

This collaboration spans three and a half years and is designed to amplify brand visibility while inspiring more travelers to visit Maldives.

To further strengthen this initiative, Visit Maldives launched a large-scale outdoor campaign in the UK on March 27. This three-month campaign leverages high-impact outdoor and digital advertising, featuring over 100 fully branded taxis in London, advertisements on buses, the London Underground, major airports, and business-class lounges to maximize exposure to potential visitors.

Additionally, LED signage at Premier League home matches, branding across Anfield Stadium, visibility in LFC’s official booklets, and billboards across Europe will target high-value travelers, providing Maldives with global exposure.

President Muizzu is accompanied by Minister of Tourism and Environment Thoriq Ibrahim, Minister of Sports, Fitness, and Recreation Abdulla Rafiu, Managing Director of MMPRC Ibrahim Shiuree, and other senior government officials.
