The fourth Extraordinary General Meeting (EGM) of the Bank of Maldives (BML) has been scheduled for October 30.
The bank said that the EGM will be held through Maldives Security Depository (MSD)'s online meeting management system 'FahiVote'. This meeting is being held to appoint board directors.
BML has recently appointed Mohamed Shareef as the bank's CEO. In the upcoming EGM, he will be appointed as Managing Director of the bank, including him in the board of directors.
Those who wish to participate in the meeting must pre-register between October 21 and 28.
BML also held an EGM last month. At this meeting, a Chairperson of the board was appointed, along with three members of the board.
With this, there are now nine members on BML's board. This includes six board members from the government, and three elected by public shareholders. The board, in full, should consist of 11 members.
