BML honors long serving employees

Bank of Maldives (BML) on Tuesday, November 29, held a special ceremony at Dharubaaruge in Malé to honour the loyalty of its long serving employees.

BML presented awards to the staff that has served in the bank for 15, 20, 25, 30, 35 and 40 years.

Aishath Noordeen, the bank's Deputy CEO, Fathimath Manike, the Development Banking Director, and Moosa Mohamed, the Senior Facilities Officer, received special recognition for their contributions to BML over the past 40-years. Firag Ahmed, the Senior Reconciliation Officer, was also recognised at the ceremony for his 35-years of service.

At the ceremony, The current BML CEO Karl Stumke presented awards to 68 long serving employees.

"I take this opportunity to express most sincere gratitude to you for the several years of hard work, dedication, and diligence to build and advance Bank of Maldives as the leading bank of this country. Your institutional knowledge is irreplaceable and is what adds to the unique culture of the bank," Stumke said speaking at the ceremony.

BML is the country's largest bank and one of the Maldives' largest employers, and 99 percent of its workforce are locals.
