Over 100 Palestinians were killed in the early morning attacks on Al-Tabi'in School, where hundreds of displaced Palestinians were taking refuge. This is the highest death toll in a single attack by Israel since October 7. Rescue workers at the location indicate that the death toll could continue to rise.

Israel, meanwhile, claimed that it was a targeted attack, saying that Hamas fighters had been taking shelter at the school. However, Hamas maintains that they do not make use of schools, hospitals and other such structures in military actions.
