The National Billiard Competition is scheduled to be held on the third of November.
While the opportunity to participate in the competition has been opened until October 20, this year's competition is the second national billiard competition to be held so far.
Club Eagles won the first national tournament held in 2021. The team won after defeating Customs Recreation Club.
Hussain Fayaz won the men's first division Dheena Ahmed was crowned women's singles champion. Dheena and Ali Fayaz won the mixed doubles title.
The men's doubles champions were Hussain Fayaz and Ali Shavin. Abbas Saeed won the second division singles title. President of Billiard Association (AMPBA) Ahmed Nasif expressed satisfaction over the large number of female athletes competing in last year's national competition.
At the closing ceremony of the 2021 competition, he reiterated that priority would be given to maintaining gender equality in future billiard competitions.
