Non-resident Ambassador to Bhutan presents credentials

The newly appointed Non-Resident Maldivian Ambassador to Bhutan, Aishath Mohamed Didi, presented her letter of credence to King of Bhutan Jigme Khesar Namgyel Wangchuck on Thursday.

During the ceremony, Ambassador Aisha stated that she was "immensely privileged" to acquire the opportunity to work with Bhutan in strengthening the close bilateral relations between the countries.

Moreover, she conveyed her intention to increase people-to-people contact, cultural exchanges and cooperation within mutually beneficial sectors, including tourism.

The Ambassador also called on Bhutanese Prime Minister Dr Lotay Tshering and Minister of Foreign Affairs Damcho Dorji.

In addition to being the Ambassador to Bhutan, she is also the Ambassador to India.
