Kandima Resort, in Dhaalu atoll, has opened a go-kart racing track, a first in the Maldives.

According to Maldives Insider, which reports resort related news, this nearly 500-meter track is set to provide a thrilling experience for tourists.

Designed as one of the longest go-kart tracks in the region, this track allows speeds of up to 80 kilometers per hour and features 12 bends, making it perfect for high-speed racing enthusiasts seeking an adrenaline rush. Additionally, the track is dedicated to environmentally friendly electric karts, ensuring a sustainable approach to this exciting activity.

Safety has been made a top priority, with the karts equipped with adjustable seating, safety barriers, and full seat belts to ensure a comfortable and secure experience for all riders. Additionally, Marshall posts will guide racers, allowing them to enjoy the thrill of racing with confidence, the resort said.

The official opening of the kart racing track is scheduled for November 15.

Kandima resort has offered special packages for children and families as well.

New racers will receive a safety briefing before entering the track, where they will also learn kart handling and driving techniques.
