Maldives is taking part in the Arabian Travel Market (ATM) fair currently underway in Dubai.
133 individuals representing 66 companies in the tourism industry participated in ATM, the largest fair held in the Middle East. Managing Director of Maldives Marketing an Public Relations Corporation (MMPRC), Thoyyib Mohamed, was among the participants.
MMPRC organised a two-day road show titled "Journey to the Sunny Side" in the ATM fair. This road show, which will take place in Abu Dhabi and Dubai, will commenced on Tuesday and will continue till Thursday.
According to MMPRC, the aim of the road show is to establish connections between operators in the the Middle East and those working in the tourism sector of Maldives.
Over 28,000 products of tourism are exhibited at the ATM fair, which boasts over 39,000 participants.
The amount of tourists journeying to Maldives from the Middle East have been on the rise, with 2018 bringing a total of 52,114 visitors. This is an increase of 7.7 percent compared to 2017.
