President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih and First Lady Fanza Ahmed on Monday concluded their official visit to Mauritius.
During this visit, President Solih met with the Acting President of Mauritius Paramasivum Pillay Barlen Vyapoory, as well Prime Minister Pravind Jugnauth.
Discussions were held between the leaders on approaches to progress our bilateral relations and increase cooperation in all fields of mutual interests in these meetings.
The President thanked both the leaders for the warm hospitality accorded to himself and his delegation by the Mauritanian government.
Both President and First Lady attended as honoured guests to the opening ceremony of the ongoing 10th Indian Ocean Island Games being held in Port Louis, Mauritius.
Additionally, they attended several of the sporting events held as part of the games and were seen enthusiastically cheering on the Maldivian athletes.
According to the President's Office, the visit was remarkably successful and helped solidify the friendly relations between Maldives and Mauritius.
