The national bank of the island nation, Bank of Maldives expands its self-service ATM network with new service introduction.

As such, the bank opened its new self-serving ATM center at Laamu atoll Maamendhoo in a bid to scale up its presence across the atoll.

The center offers support for individuals and businesses to deposit and transfer money on a 24/7 basis, apart from acting as a general cash withdrawal vestibule.

Currently, the atoll possess a branch of BML and a self-service banking setup at Fonadhoo and Gan as well as a self-service banking ATM center at Maavah.

Speaking about the expansion of BML's reach across the Maldives, its CEO and Managing Director Mr. Tim Sawyer said, "as part of our financial inclusion strategy, we will continue to invest in expanding banking services to islands across Maldives."

"This center in Maamendhoo will benefit individuals and businesses in the community and ensure convenient and accessible banking services without the need to travel to a nearby branch," Mr. Sawyer added.

Currently, BML boasts 35 branches across all 20 administrative atolls, 78 self-service banking centers, 136 ATMs, over 200 BML agents, and a full suite of digital banking services - which includes both internet and mobile banking applications.
