Gerard Piqué, a former defender for Barcelona and Manchester United, who won the World Cup and Euro for Spain is now primarily engaged in sports related business ventures. One of his key projects is the Kings League, a seven-a-side football league he launched after stepping away from professional football in 2022.
Notable footballers such as Sergio Agüero, Ronaldinho, and goalkeeper Iker Casillas have also participated in the Kings League.
Miraash, from over three thousand participants was chosen for the last round of the selection tryouts held in Barcelona this year.
With 40 participants, the final selections, which will handpick athletes for the League Draft Day has been slated for 21:00 hrs local time. Twitch, a popular livestream gaming service will be streaming the tryouts in real time.
During the stream, viewers have the opportunity to influence player selection by voting for their favorites. After the voting period, the ten footballers with the highest number of votes are guaranteed a spot at Draft Day.
Miraash, who wears bib number 181, has an average tryout rating of 82. His ratings are 73 for physical, 84 for duels, 86 for shooting, 75 for defending, 84 for passing, and 85 for individual skills.
The fourteen athletes with the lowest number of votes lose their chance to advance further, and the remaining sixteen will then face off in a match to secure a slot at the Draft Day.
Miraash, a 24-year-old midfielder, has played for the Maldives' National Team in 2022. He trained at UE Cornellà's academy and played for the club in the country's youth tournament, as well as in the Catalan League.
Miraash began his football journey at the age of three and moved to Spain at 13 to advance his career. In addition to his football activities, he currently works as a flight instructor at EAS Barcelona, an aviation school.
