Health Protection Agency (HPA) on Sunday revealed that samples taken from suspected cases in Fehendhoo, Baa Atol, and the three resorts OBLU SELECT at Sangeli, Bandos Maldives and Dreamland Maldives tested negative for COVID-19.

According to authorities, temporary monitoring measures imposed on the islands have been lifted.

Moreover, the agency is preparing to take samples from a suspected individual from Vilamendhoo Island Resort and Spa. The individual and a close contact of the suspect are now under home-isolation.

So far no Maldivians have contracted the virus.
