Vice President highlights Civil Service role in fulfilling President's biggest motto of accelerating service provision

Vice President Hussain Mohamed Latheef said that the main motto of President Dr Mohamed Muizzu's administration is to accelerate the delivery of services to the people, highlighting the significant role of the Civil Service in achieving this objective.

Speaking at the opening ceremony of the Fourth Civil Service Conference held at Dharubaaruge Convention Centre in Malé City this morning, he noted the successful accomplishments of the Civil Service Commission (CSC) over the past 17 years.

“Over the past 17 years, I have seen the Maldives Civil Service undertake very successful and innovative work in developing civil servants and enhancing the quality of services provided,” he said.

VP Hussain stated that the Fourth Civil Service Conference, which commenced today, will further enhance the quality of services delivered to the nation and its citizens.

He praised Civil Service employees for their hard work in striving to achieve the government's goals and to fulfil promises made to the people.

"The CSC has been providing excellent services with great diligence and enthusiasm, contributing significantly to each government's achievements. I would like to thank all the members and staff of CSC for their dedication," he said.

He highlighted the critical importance of the Civil Service in the effective functioning of the government, adding that the government needs the assistance and cooperation of the Civil Service.

"The most important motto of President Muizzu's administration is to accelerate and modernize the services provided to the people. To work tirelessly to achieve the goals desired by the people," the Vice President said.

The conference, scheduled for today and tomorrow, aims to digitize and improve the Maldives Civil Service, addressing issues related to the Civil Service and finding solutions to overcome challenges in delivering quality services.
