Turkey's Er-Ah Flight School has opened academic opportunities for Maldivian students aspiring to become pilots.
Coral Life Maldives, the local agent of the flying school, will act as the facilitator for local students wishing to join pilot training programs of Er-Ah Flight School.
The agent further said that students aged 18 years and above with English fluency with a CAA-approved Class-I medical certificate and academy graduate certificate will be eligible for the courses run by the academy.
Turkey grants visa exemption to Maldivians, and Coral Life has highlighted the convenience of transportation and accessibility within the country in contrast to European destinations that offer pilot training programs. They have also highlighted the ease for parents visiting their children attending the academy and have emphasized the lower costs of accommodation and food in comparison to the United States and European countries.
As Er-Ah Flight School operates in an ICAO member country, their pilot training programs would be recognized and accepted by the Maldives Civil Aviation Authority (MCAA).
Students who are currently applying will be allocated intake slots for early 2024.
Er-Ah Flight School is providing 14 to 18 month pilot courses.
