Woman attempting to smuggle drugs into Fuvahmulah arrested

Police have seized a box of drugs smuggled into Fuvahmulah via sea and arrested a suspect in connection with the incident.

According to the police, the drugs were seized as part of an intelligence operation conducted on the island.

During the operation, officers searched a box transported by a vessel and uncovered suspected narcotics.

A 40-year-old woman has been arrested in connection with the case. Although police have disclosed the names of individuals arrested in other drug-related cases, they have not yet released the name of the suspect in this incident.

Police are currently investigating the matter.
