Auditor General's (AG) Office, on Tuesday, launched its Strategic Plan (2021-2024) during a special ceremony held to commemorate its 72nd anniversary.
The plan was unveiled by Auditor General Hassan Ziyath and Parliamentary representative for Addu’s Meedhoo constituency Rozaina Adam

According to the Auditor General, the plan sets out to develop a transparent system to counter wasteful expenditures, fraud and mismanagement of state funds.
The ceremony was also attended by Parliament representative of Thaa Atoll's Kinbidhoo constituency Mohamed Nashiz, Chairperson of the Parliamentary Committee on Public Accounts.
MP Nashiz noted the committee's ongoing collaboration with the AG Office, adding that the plan would further strengthen the institution.
He also mentioned that the development of AG Office's new adminitrative offices will be facilitated through a contract financing tender in 2021.
