Kaamil Didi Primary School, the first school established in Hulhumale' phase two by the state has opened its doors today with over 800 students in attendance.
The school, named after the first Minister of Education; Ahmed Kaamil Didi was inaugurated by Vice President Faisal Naseem.
The school caters to students from foundation key stage to grade six and while students in foundation classes will be taught in four sessions, students from grade one to six will be taught in two sessions.
Kaamil Didi Primary School currently has 47 teachers. In addition, there are 65 employees, including eight administrative and staff and 10 additional workers.
HDC signed a contract with SJ Construction Company in March to build the 12 classroom primary school, which was to be completed in 165 days. However, the work was delayed due to the Ukraine-Russia war.
