With a focus on their business customer base, MIB has introduced new services and determined improvement plans to provide easy banking solutions that assist retail customers as well.
Maldives Islamic Bank has introduced many changes and established new service plans to provide easy banking solutions for their business customers.
Targeting business bankers, MIB has determined to install a cash service counter in their head office and has arranged to separate their bulk cash counters to offer its singular service.
Providing a lengthened period for business customers to withdraw cash amounts that exceed their card limit, MIB has extended their head office service hours by an additional two hours to visit the head office where cash withdrawal services are available from the first floor. The service hours are now 08:30 hrs to 16:00 hrs.
Furthermore, they have also decided to increase the number of 24-hour ATM machines in the office's ground floor and has also arranged to open the bank’s services during the last 10 days of Ramadan and Eid breaks.
In addition to business customers, the bank will also provide services to their retail customers until 16:00 hrs every working day. A counter in the first floor will be arranged to assist customers with online account opening services and the bank has also established special counters at the head office to service senior citizens, pregnant women and those with disabilities.
Targeting their corporate customer base, the bank has also opened a dollar ATM in their Hulhumale, Fithuroanu Magu branch today. While initiating the opening ceremony alongside the CEO of MIB Mufaddal Idris Khumri, Managing Director of HDC (Housing Development Corporation) Ibrahim Fazul Rasheed said that the government, together with concerned ministries, are working to ease the dollar difficulties in the country and that the opening of the dollar ATM will aid in alleviating some related inconveniences in spite of the current dollar limits.
“This MIB ATM opened in Hulhumale' will offer many conveniences to the people and businesses in Hulhumale’ in withdrawing dollars. HDC will always support the broadening of such services. Our hope is to further expand banking services in Hulhumale' and open additional ATMs here,” said Fazul.
Additionally, the CEO of MIB, Mufaddal said that the company’s aim in opening a dollar ATM branch is to offer ideal services to their corporate customers while aiming to become their preferred banking solution within the country. He added that this ATM plays a large role in expanding the bank’s services in Hulhumale' and highlighted their recent introduction of an ATM machine in Hulhumale' Phase 2 last month.
