Fazeel Haroon (Flash) has maintained his record of winning the 'Best Athlete' title in all four of the Grand Prix challenges he participated in.

Fazeel made his debut in the Grand Prix in 2018, and 2021 is the only year in which he did not compete due to his military training in Sri Lanka.

The event was also not held in 2020 due to the Covid-19 pandemic.

Fazeel claimed the 'Best Athlete' title in the 2023 Grand Prix event after breaking the 3,000-meter marathon record, completing it in 8:55.87 (eight minutes and 55.87 seconds).

In 2023, Fazeel set the record in the same event by completing it in 9 minutes and 2 seconds.

At the Athletic State Championship held in June 2023 at Odisha, India, Fazeel broke 1,500-meter event's 30-year long record.

Hussain Riyaz Samad (Beybe Riya) had set the record for the 1,500-meter event in the Maldives 30 years ago during the SAFF Games, completing the track event in 4:0.6 (four minutes and 0.6 seconds).

Fazeel set the new record by completing the event at 3:57.544 (three minutes and 57.44 seconds).

Fazeel, who had his first breakthrough performance in the Dhiraagu Road Race 2013, is known for his penchant to break and set new records.

Among the most prominent records he either broke or set include, the 5,000-meter event's record in 2019 which remained unbroken for 26 years. Fazeel completed the event at the Asian Athletics Championship at Doha, Qatar in 2019, in 15:30 (15 minutes and 30 seconds).

Riyaz Samad previously held the event's record, completing the marathon in 15:36 (15 minutes and 36 seconds) in 1993.

In 2017, Fazeel broke the 10,000-meter marathon record, which was initially set by Hussain Haleem 28 years ago in 1989.
