Islamic Centre fish pond to be built under STELCO CSR initiatives

STELCO has started renovation of the fish pond under the minaret at Islamic Centre under the company's CRS initiatives.

Ministry of Islamic Affairs decided to renovate the fish pond on occasion of the 40th anniversary of the Islamic Centre. Initially, the Ministry announced seeking contractors for the project, but later retracted the decision following public criticism saying that is is an unnecessary expense during this time of financial difficulties for the State.
