MET Office has said that in the continuous rain in Male' since this morning, a record amount of rainfall within an hour has been recorded.
A MET Office official said that 160mm of rainfall has been recorded in Male' in the past 24 hours. During this time, the highest rainfall was between 17:00 hrs and 18:00 hrs, with 60mm rain recorded.
