Met Office has forecasted continued strong winds across most parts of the country until Monday.
Strongest winds recorded yesterday was in Baa atoll Dharavandhoo.
According to the Maldives Meteorological Service (MET), wind speeds reached up to 65 miles per hour between midnight on Thursday and 00:00 hrs last night. This follows a previous high of 55 miles per hour recorded in Dharavandhoo last Wednesday.
The adverse weather has affected much of Maldives since the beginning of this week, with winds of up to 61 miles per hour recorded in Hulhule on Thursday.
While these ranges were not record breaking, they were above normal levels.

The windiest day on record in Maldives occurred on May 29, 1991, when winds of 103.5 miles per hour were recorded at Seenu atoll Gan.
MET Office has forecast that the southwest monsoon will intensify, bringing strong winds, rough seas, and widespread rain across much of the country.
Although rainfall is expected to be below normal across large parts of the country this month and in the next two months, some northern atolls may experience average or above average rainfall during this period.
The southwest monsoon is expected to end in December, giving way to the northeast monsoon.
