Minister of Islamic Affairs Dr Mohamed Shaheem has invited the Palestinian Minister of Endowments and Religious Affairs Mohammad Mustafa Mohamed Najm to deliver the Friday sermon in Maldives.
Mohammad Mustafa Mohamed Najm, Palestinian Minister of Endowments and Religious Affairs has been invited to the Maldives to deliver the weekly sermon after Friday prayers.
Maldivian Minister of Islamic Affairs Dr Mohamed Shaheem Ali Saeed had met with the Palestinian Minister of Religious Affairs, Mustafa on the sidelines of the 9th Conference of Ministers of Awqaf (Endowments) and Islamic Affairs in Islamic Countries currently ongoing at Makkah, Saudi Arabia.
The invitation to visit Maldives and deliver the Friday sermon at the Islamic Centre in capital city Male' was extended during this meeting.
"Insha Allah, he will visit the Maldives," said Shaheem.
Minister Shaheem had presided over the 5th session of this two day conference held under the theme “Role of Endowments and Islamic Affairs Ministries in Promoting and Consolidating the Principles and Values of Moderation".
