Secretary General of the South Asian Association for Regional Corporation (SAARC) MD Golam Sarwar will be in Maldives until 8th August 2024 on an introductory visit to the country.
Secretary General of the South Asian Association for Regional Corporation (SAARC) MD Golam Sarwar, who assumed office in October 2023, has arrived in Maldives on an introductory visit.
During his visit, Sarwar, who currently serves as the 15th secretary general of SAARC, is scheduled to pay a courtesy call on President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu as well as Foreign Minister Moosa Zameer and Foreign Secretary Fathimath Inaya.
According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Sarwar will conclude his visit and depart from the Maldives on 8 August.
During this visit, Sarwar is accompanied by his spouse Taslima Sarwar, Ms. Shahiya Ali Manik, Director, SAARC Secretariat and Mr. Bhavesh R. Trivedi, SAARC Secretariat.
