High Court Judges Hathif Hilmy and Hussain Mazeed secured membership status at the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (CIArb).

According to the court, the two judges joined CIArb through the organization's accelerated route to membership, having passed required examinations.

Appointed in January, Hathif and Mazeed are the most recent judges to join the High Court bench.

The only other individuals to have been granted CIArb status are Supreme Court Judge Husnu-Al-Suood and Civil Court Judge Ahmed Abdul Matheen.

Registered as a non-profit organization in the United Kingdom (UK), CIArb serves as a global hub for stakeholders promoting facilitation and development of alternative dispute resolution (ADR).

With over 16,000 members from 149 countries, the institute provides education and training for arbitrators, mediators and adjudicators.
