President Dr Mohamed Muizzu has announced plans to transform the Muliaage vehicle garage on Lily Magu into the “Zuvaanunge Third Space,”
President Dr Mohamed Muizzu has decided to develop a youth centre or "Zuvaanunge Third Space" in the building and yard area currently being used as the vehicle garage of Muliaage on Lily Magu.
The decision was made following cabinet discussions on a paper submitted by the Infrastructure Ministry to develop the building as a youth centre to empower, train, and improve the social bond of youth in society.
The President's Office confirmed that, given the building's location in a busy area with numerous schools, President Muizzu has decided to proceed with the Zuvaanunge Third Space project with a comprehensive traffic management plan to minimise inconvenience for those using the area.
- Boot camps
- Skill exchange programmes
- Virtual reality training
- Community art wall
- Interactive community hub
- Culinary events

The third space facility is to be designed as an environmentally friendly space that facilitates youth learning, skill teaching and social bonding, said President's Office.
"The centre is envisioned as an eco-friendly hub, featuring a cafeteria offering healthy, locally inspired cuisine and a platform for small and medium food vendors to showcase their products. President Dr Muizzu highlighted the importance of such spaces in nurturing the potential of Maldivian youth and creating opportunities for personal and community development," the President's Office statement detailed.
